Rogério Ceni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celso Cruz scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogério Ceni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Celso Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Cruz in the 20th minute of play forced Cercadinho's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cercadinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF the free kick. Cercadinho's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Cruz in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when José Paulo Mello made the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd match minute, Cercadinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With his leg Rogério Ceni managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF's Celso Cruz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 77 minutes, Lauro Leite made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Cercadinho's Rogério Ceni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Janusz Derlanga made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leopoldo do Nascimento. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Ulf Bergqvist got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Lauro Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Ceni having to interfere. The supporters of Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball.
