Gil Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Leonidas Orange might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Carioca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonidas Orange ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 16 in the game by Leonidas Orange from a close distance when the talented Gil Carioca managed to make a qualified save. Nordestão Futebol Clube's players were relieved. César Eger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Carioca having to make a save. With a little luck, Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca got control of the ball when Leonidas Orange tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil Carioca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonidas Orange showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Leonidas Orange dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gil Carioca, 4-0. 26 minutes into the match, Leonidas Orange had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Carioca. Nordestão Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonidas Orange was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Leonidas Orange in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gil Carioca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 30 minutes into the game, Leonidas Orange lined in a short shot 6-0 behind a frustrated Gil Carioca. Gil Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Eger in the 37th minute of the match. When Leonidas Orange came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the S.C.PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonidas Orange couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedê Negri during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nordestão Futebol Clube's Dedê Negri got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, S.C.PAULISTA's Leonidas Orange ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gil Carioca. Gil Carioca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gil Carioca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Eger went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Leonidas Orange scored 9-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nordestão Futebol Clube's Jano Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Orange in the 71st minute of play. Leonidas Orange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Carioca having to interfere. In the 74th minute, César Eger had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Gilson Luz fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nordestão Futebol Clube's protests and gave Gilson Luz a yellow card for diving instead. S.C.PAULISTA's Acácio Alves was substituted for César Eger. Gilson Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jorge Neto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gil Carioca. Nordestão Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Acácio Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Alves in the 81st minute of play forced Nordestão Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gil Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st match minute, Nordestão Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Negri to maneuver through the defense. Gil Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of S.C.PAULISTA booed when Nordestão Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonidas Orange in the 85th minute of play. When Renato de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nordestão Futebol Clube's protests and gave Renato de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute of the match Jorge Neto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gil Carioca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Leonidas Orange notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca. Gil Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Leonidas Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C.PAULISTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonidas Orange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Nordestão Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Negri to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Acácio Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Gil Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. S.C.PAULISTA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
