After taking down the ball on AE Uruguaianense's corner Ramiro Teles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Délio Galvão quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Vao Eesporte Clube's Délio Galvão got control of the ball when Doni Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Josué Pombal made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toro Junior however managed to control. Jardel Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ignacio Olando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. If Ignacio Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Almeida in the 76th minute of play forced AE Uruguaianense's goalkeeper Jardel Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Antônio Carlos Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Nando de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vao Eesporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
