With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Răica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Topan Simbolon hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Falcão Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Erasmo Simão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grentino FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Simão got free with Chico Răica in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafa Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Erasmo Simão took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Chico Răica to make any attempt to save it. Chico Răica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo Simão went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Erasmo Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 27th minute of play forced Grentino FC's goalkeeper Falcão Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Luan Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Sampaio. Grentino FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Esporte Clube Zeus's Chico Răica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Sampaio in the 35th minute of play. Falcão Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Campidelis in the 39th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Luan Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Falcão Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bo Edström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Grentino FC from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goalkeeper Falcão Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luan Campidelis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Froilan Calvino during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Erasmo Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Erasmo Simão notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Esporte Clube Zeus's Chico Răica. Chico Răica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
