Pipis Karapatakis in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldemar Quintal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Grêmio FBPA's attentive Kaká Rot managed to snatch the ball when Cezary Ankiewicz made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Voyager Soccer Team's Waldemar Quintal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Voyager Soccer Team from getting a goal against them. Pipis Karapatakis came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waldemar Quintal could save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pipis Karapatakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Jardel Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Piotr Rybak in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Pipis Karapatakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Quintal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Grêmio FBPA were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Voyager Soccer Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Estevon took the corner. The corner ended in Humberto Locaio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Voyager Soccer Team's Waldemar Quintal did a great save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
