Metoloko FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinson Haaland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gusmão Vilela took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gianluigi Pagliuca. Pedro Luís Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluigi Pagliuca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Gusmão Vilela dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gianluigi Pagliuca, 2-2. Gusmão Vilela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Gusmão Vilela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gianluigi Pagliuca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusmão Vilela in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Real Cobrinha FR's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Botelho came free, but Gianluigi Pagliuca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gianluigi Pagliuca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusmão Vilela in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Real Cobrinha FR getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ramakrishna Chulapa hit a great ball. Gianluigi Pagliuca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Gusmão Vilela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Edinson Haaland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Cobrinha FR's supporters rose to their feet, but Edinson Haaland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a little luck, Metoloko FC's Gil de Almeida got control of the ball when Edinson Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metoloko FC's goalkeeper Gil de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Real Cobrinha FR's zone, Pedro Luís Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Haaland in the 81st minute of play forced Metoloko FC's goalkeeper Gil de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Cobrinha FR were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Metoloko FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carmine Gargano took the corner. Gil de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edinson Haaland went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Ivan Stabbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
