Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Christian Baiano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Quinto Fonticoba to make any attempt to save it. In the 5th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Baiano got free with Quinto Fonticoba in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdemar de Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quinto Fonticoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Papunhas EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcel Pinho in the 16th minute. Marcel Pinho made a great header on Papunhas EC's corner, it was just that Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Papunhas EC's Valdemar de Moraes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Quinto Fonticoba. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Agostinho de Carvalho got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Grigore in the 42nd minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho de Carvalho got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Valdemar de Moraes made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinto Fonticoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Edson Ribeiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Ismael Nazario Serre however easily saved by the left post. In the 58thth minute of the game Lucrețiu Grigore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Quinto Fonticoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Peres in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Lucrețiu Grigore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lucrețiu Grigore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Grêmio Prudente fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Grêmio Prudente's Lucrețiu Grigore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Quinto Fonticoba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gomesano Gatica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grêmio Prudente's Lucrețiu Grigore got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Gomesano Gatica fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Grigore in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Peres came free, but Quinto Fonticoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio Prudente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eleuterio Gaztea in the 98th minute. The corner ended in Eleuterio Gaztea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre did a great save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Papunhas EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grêmio Prudente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
