The audience thought a goal was coming when Edson Ribeiro got free with Mosaed Bo Qamaz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Edson Ribeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mosaed Bo Qamaz. Edson Ribeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Mosaed Bo Qamaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Grigore in the 21st minute of play. Mosaed Bo Qamaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gomesano Gatica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edson Ribeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mosaed Bo Qamaz could save by the left post. 38 minutes into the match, Hunters FC's goalkeeper Mosaed Bo Qamaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gomesano Gatica. Gomesano Gatica scored 5-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mosaed Bo Qamaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucrețiu Grigore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mosaed Bo Qamaz having to interfere.

Grêmio Prudente's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Grigore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mosaed Bo Qamaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Hunters FC's Didi Quirino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Didi Quirino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hunters FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Didi Quirino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After having played for 76 minutes, Eleuterio Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Prudente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mosaed Bo Qamaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Ribeiro in the 79th minute of play. If Benedito Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
