Arne Röspel's late challenge caught a Mayhem Sharks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Röspel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Royal Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Röspel to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Narciso Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Cordara. Royal Knights FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristo Cordara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Royal Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Salandri to maneuver through the defense. Jailson Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wellington de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Corrêa came free, but Wellington de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when Mayhem Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Srđa Vulić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mayhem Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal Knights FC the free kick. A collision led to Mayhem Sharks getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Srđa Vulić hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Royal Knights FC's Dé Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Ian de Castro. After the first half Mayhem Sharks were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
If Jailson Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute Manu Smets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Dias in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristo Cordara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wellington de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manu Smets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Cristian Salandri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Dé Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cristo Cordara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mayhem Sharks's Luís Fabiano de Andrade was substituted for Narciso Dias. 80 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano de Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristo Cordara. Luís Fabiano de Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Cristo Cordara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Rossi in the 87th minute of the match. Cristo Cordara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano de Andrade in the 95th minute of play.
