Caetano da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Santos in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Nesto Aguilar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caetano da Silveira. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 14th minute, Vítor Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Club Athletic Warszaw defense, Túlio Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelius Korth. The Club Athletic Warszaw fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelius Korth should have stopped the shot. Caetano da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nesto Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cornelius Korth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Elija's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Olavo Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Caetano da Silveira made a huge save. The supporters of Chelsicha booed when Club Athletic Warszaw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelius Korth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Elija in the 29th minute of play. After 32 minutes, João Paulo de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsicha and the Club Athletic Warszaw players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Paulo de Carvalho hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Vítor Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ciro Elija's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelius Korth was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Maia to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th match minute, Club Athletic Warszaw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Santos to maneuver through the defense. If Aloísio Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chelsicha's Victor Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Club Athletic Warszaw lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
