Jarbas Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When S S Palestra Italia's Zé Roberto Moura in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dr Lecter SC's goalie prevented a goal. After 5 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Rony Tasso. Corneliu Dridu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarbas Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Corneliu Dridu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Dieguinho de Medeiros in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by S S Palestra Italia's Tomas Roano. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 30th minute of play. Jarbas Guedes was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Corneliu Dridu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Corneliu Dridu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Dr Lecter SC's attentive Ma Wei Jun managed to snatch the ball when Serafim Hermes made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corneliu Dridu got free with Jarbas Guedes in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Corneliu Dridu made the kick off in the second half. Inácio Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rdth minute of the game Corneliu Dridu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Tasso in the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Omid Kaulbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dr Lecter SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Omid Kaulbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omid Kaulbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to S S Palestra Italia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Inácio Figueiredo hit a great ball. Zé Roberto Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Trevisan having to interfere. The throw-in from Serafim Hermes in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dr Lecter SC's Ma Wei Jun. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 76th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Moura in the 78th minute of the match. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Bernal in the 84th minute of play. Jarbas Guedes came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu. But to his dismay, Corneliu Dridu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Jarbas Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. S S Palestra Italia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
