In the 18th minute of the game Dieguinho de Medeiros made a throw-in which Mauro Romero played forward. In the 18thth minute of the game Corneliu Dridu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jataiense Futebol Clube's Thiago Paraibano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Gulak, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thiago Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 22nd minute of play. Thiago Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 24th minute of the match. Celso Trevisan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolás Castillo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Kalle Biörkquist kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jataiense Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Romero was slow to take the kick. During this time Dr Lecter SC's players had a chance to rest. Corneliu Dridu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Paraibano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Jataiense Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Golaki Goiano hit a great ball. Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Golaki Goiano made the kick off in the second half. When Corneliu Dridu came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Dr Lecter SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corneliu Dridu couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Corneliu Dridu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dr Lecter SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Dridu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corneliu Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Paraibano having to interfere. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Jataiense Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Gulak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jataiense Futebol Clube made a substitution. Luís Gustavo Messias replaced Luizão Pesquera. In the 78th minute, Gualter Gulak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golaki Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 88th minute of play.
