Jerry Dejonckheeres short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Cássio da Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cachaça FC's Nicolae Siclovan got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cássio da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Dejonckheere, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when Cachaça FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cachaça FC's Cássio da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Dejonckheere in the 26th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Cachaça FC's Betinho Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Cachaça FC got a freekick which was hit by Tico Machado. If Jerry Dejonckheere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cachaça FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
