With a little luck, Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba got control of the ball when Ciro Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Wit Chuchro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Wit Chuchro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paredes Fortes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba got control of the ball when Ciro Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Maverick Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Deivid Goiano went to the cornerflag to take it. Maverick Futebol Clube's Abderaouf Bensaoula was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paredes Fortes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paredes Fortes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Neves went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gonçalo da Silveira hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Maverick Futebol Clube's Deivid Goiano in action when he in the 49th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinícius Haaland to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Vinícius Haaland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Haaland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edinho Paraíba having to make a save. Paredes Fortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Neves in the 72nd minute of play. Reynaldo Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Paredes Fortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the game Fabian Adriaanse made a throw-in which Reynaldo Neves played forward. After a defensive mix-up in AKI CORINTHIANS's zone, Reynaldo Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paredes Fortes came out of the goal and Reynaldo Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Chuchro in the 85th minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Paredes Fortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paredes Fortes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. AKI CORINTHIANS's Olívio da Cunha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabian Adriaanse in the 89 minute of the game. Edinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Negri in the 90th minute of the match. If Ciro Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio da Cunha hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After having played for 99 minutes, Reynaldo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maverick Futebol Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
