Dida Mesquita started the match with the kick off. Mikkel Lilleland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eliseu Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paysandu getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Maxín Conejeros hit a great ball. Dida Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Eliseu Custódio made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Curinhaem's zone, Dida Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Custódio came out of the goal and Dida Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Dida Mesquita fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Dida Mesquita made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Curinhaem's Eliseu Custódio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Paysandu booed when Curinhaem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Mikkel Lilleland shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliseu Custódio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dida Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paysandu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dida Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes in the game Júnior Lima did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adhemar Prado. After a defensive mix-up in Curinhaem's zone, Maxín Conejeros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Custódio came out of the goal and Maxín Conejeros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adhemar Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Paysandu were awarded a corner. Mikkel Lilleland went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Paysandu's Miguel Victoro to a score. 2-0 in the 37th minute. Eliseu Custódio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dida Mesquita went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Mikkel Lilleland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Dida Mesquita put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eliseu Custódio. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duarte Proença made a kick off. Eliseu Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Paysandu getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Hélder Marquez hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Mikkel Lilleland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseu Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 63rd minute Mikkel Lilleland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paysandu's Dida Mesquita in 66 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Eliseu Custódio guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Eliseu Custódio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikkel Lilleland went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the match, Dida Mesquita notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Curinhaem's Eliseu Custódio. Eliseu Custódio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute Dida Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Custódio came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Paysandu's Dida Mesquita. But to his dismay, Dida Mesquita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 84 minutes into the match, Mikkel Lilleland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseu Custódio. Curinhaem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikkel Lilleland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. After a rather tough play, Paysandu's Ramón Camargo got a free kick in the 88th minute. Eliseu Custódio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikkel Lilleland went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Paysandu fully deserved thier win.
