With a little luck, AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes got control of the ball when Dida Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ciro Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the AKI CORINTHIANS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Brasil couldn't finish the play. If Mikkel Lilleland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 10 played minutes Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Maxín Conejeros. After taking down the ball on AKI CORINTHIANS's corner Alfred Schrijns fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clemente Vasconcelos quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, AKI CORINTHIANS's Ciro Brasil got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute of the match, Dida Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paredes Fortes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th match minute, Paysandu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxín Conejeros to maneuver through the defense. Paysandu's Mikkel Lilleland got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paysandu's Clemente Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Brasil in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match AKI CORINTHIANS got a corner. Paysandu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfred Schrijns ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paysandu's Clemente Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Brasil in the 36th minute of play. Octavio Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Albino Ibar struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Clemente Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AKI CORINTHIANS. In the 42nd minute, Dida Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dida Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dida Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paredes Fortes was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. If Ciro Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Mesquita in the 70th minute of play. Paysandu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mikkel Lilleland in the 71st minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Ciro Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AKI CORINTHIANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner ended in Mikkel Lilleland almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes did a great save. Albino Ibar hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Gonçalo da Silveira's late challenge caught a Paysandu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AKI CORINTHIANS's Gonçalo da Silveira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ciro Brasil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clemente Vasconcelos. Paysandu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
