Basilio Lain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélio Gomes having to make a save. Hélio Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Xacintu in the 13th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélio Gomes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the Flying Dutch defense, Henk Latomme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josue Barro. The Flying Dutch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josue Barro should have stopped the shot. In the 21stth minute of the game Henk Latomme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flying Dutch's Josue Barro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Josue Barro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iuri Cosme hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Josue Barro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Latomme in the 28th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk Latomme couldn't finish the play. Michel Bagge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
In the 52nd minute Michel Bagge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Barro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Rodolfo Santos with Eurico Batista as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 59 minutes into the match, Michel Bagge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josue Barro. Flying Dutch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Bagge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 62 minutes into the match, Tocantinópolis EC's Henk Latomme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josue Barro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tocantinópolis EC's goalkeeper Hélio Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 84 minutes into the match, Tocantinópolis EC's Henk Latomme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josue Barro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 minutes Flying Dutch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Eger who took care of the corner kick. Tocantinópolis EC's Adam De Bruijn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Josue Barro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tocantinópolis EC's Henk Latomme got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josue Barro made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Murillo Vargas sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tocantinópolis EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
