Wit Chuchro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Haaland in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th minute Vinícius Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Paysandu were awarded a corner. Mikkel Lilleland went to the cornerflag to take it. Paysandu's Mikkel Lilleland was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edinho Paraíba in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 24 minutes into the match, Paysandu's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Neves came free, but Clemente Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Delfim Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Deivid Goiano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinícius Haaland in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Vasconcelos saved Paysandu from getting behind. If Hélder Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vinícius Haaland came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Maverick Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinícius Haaland couldn't finish the play. Mikkel Lilleland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Edinho Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Haaland to make the kick off. Clemente Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Mesquita in the 55th minute of play. Paysandu's Clemente Vasconcelos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Paysandu from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkel Lilleland came free, but Edinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Paysandu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxín Conejeros to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wit Chuchro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinícius Haaland took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clemente Vasconcelos. Clemente Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Mesquita in the 75th minute of play. Vinícius Haaland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Clemente Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Maverick Futebol Clube's zone, Mikkel Lilleland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Paraíba came out of the goal and Mikkel Lilleland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paysandu's Clemente Vasconcelos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Paysandu from getting a goal against them. Fritz Salgado made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paysandu's Octavio Sidro. With a little luck, Paysandu's Clemente Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Vinícius Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Marquez in the 86th minute of play. Ramón Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Paysandu's goalkeeper Clemente Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Haaland. 91 minutes into the match, Vinícius Haaland dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clemente Vasconcelos, 0-2. When the match was over Maverick Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paysandu throughout the match.
