Maverick Futebol Clube's Wit Chuchro got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vinícius Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Latomme in the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Henk Latomme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocantinópolis EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Latomme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Latomme's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luís Eger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edinho Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Edinho Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vinícius Haaland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Gomes having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Tocantinópolis EC got a corner. Maverick Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Eger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luís Eger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba did a great save. After some careless play in the Maverick Futebol Clube defense, Michel Bagge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Paraíba. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Vinícius Haaland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Hélio Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Latomme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wit Chuchro's late challenge caught a Tocantinópolis EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wit Chuchro helped the player get up and apologised. Edinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Latomme, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Deivid Goiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hélio Gomes skillfully saved the ball. The Maverick Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tocantinópolis EC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Michel Bagge made the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Haaland struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Hélio Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maverick Futebol Clube. In the 53rd minute, Vinícius Haaland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edinho Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Latomme went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Fritz Salgado made in the 59th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vinícius Haaland immediately put the ball in play. Fritz Salgado made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vinícius Haaland. In the 62nd minute, Henk Latomme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edinho Paraíba. The goal made the score 0-3. Edinho Paraíba was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Henk Latomme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henk Latomme really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After 72 played minutes Henk Latomme rounded Maverick Futebol Clube's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Tocantinópolis EC made a substitution. Murillo Vargas replaced Michel Bagge. Edinho Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Latomme in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Henk Latomme put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Edinho Paraíba. After having played for 83 minutes, Henk Latomme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tocantinópolis EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henk Latomme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Tocantinópolis EC's Henk Latomme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maverick Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luís Eger was slow to take the kick. During this time Tocantinópolis EC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luís Eger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba did a great save. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Wit Chuchro hit a great ball. When Henk Latomme came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tocantinópolis EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk Latomme couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Maverick Futebol Clube's Vinícius Haaland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélio Gomes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tocantinópolis EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
