If 詹俊 á Bø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Cafu Martins with Conrado Qwinton as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 詹俊 á Bø in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Fernando Cavalcante, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when 詹俊 á Bø sped through Pindorama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Fernando Cavalcante. Luís Fernando Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Luiz Fernando Tróia hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Dias. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Qwinton in the 36th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Cavalcante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 詹俊 á Bø's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 詹俊 á Bø in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Fernando Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 詹俊 á Bø in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Fernando Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Waldoch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 詹俊 á Bø was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 51st minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When 詹俊 á Bø came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Wellington Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. Luís Fernando Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Dias in the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pindorama's zone, Silas Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fernando Cavalcante came out of the goal and Silas Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fernando Cavalcante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 詹俊 á Bø went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Zé Carlos Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fernando Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79thth minute of the game 詹俊 á Bø who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pindorama's Luís Fernando Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 85th minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pindorama getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Laerte Fontes hit a great ball. 詹俊 á Bø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fernando Cavalcante having to make a save. Pindorama's Luís Fernando Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 88th minute of play. If Luis Mikolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 詹俊 á Bø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pindorama's Luís Fernando Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 92nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, 詹俊 á Bø put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Fernando Cavalcante. There was no doubt that Wellington Phoenix were the better team. Wellington Phoenix's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
