A collision led to Pindorama getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Agnaldo Massa hit a great ball. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Carlsson in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match RED-STAR got a corner. Pindorama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dagoberto Linhares ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Dagoberto Linhares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Conrado Qwinton could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Iwan Wojtyna however easily saved by the left post. Iwan Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Dagoberto Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Terra lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pindorama! Raúl Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Wojtyna having to interfere. Dagoberto Linhares scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hortêncio Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Conrado Qwinton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Iwan Wojtyna made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Conrado Qwinton took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Iwan Wojtyna to make any attempt to save it. 32 minutes into the game, Silas Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hortêncio Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute Cacá Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pindorama's Conrado Qwinton got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, RED-STAR's goalkeeper Iwan Wojtyna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Meira. In the 44th minute, Cacá Braga made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. Pindorama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 48 minutes into the match, RED-STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Vieira came free, but Iwan Wojtyna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

In the 51st minute, Malcolm Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Wojtyna having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Linhares came free, but Hortêncio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Braga in the 57th minute of the match. Iwan Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Cacá Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. Pindorama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cacá Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The supporters of Pindorama booed when RED-STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Matos struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Iwan Wojtyna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pindorama. Silas Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Duarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Silas Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 71st minute. Iwan Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Qwinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Wojtyna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conrado Qwinton's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute of the match Pindorama got a corner. RED-STAR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edgar Matos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Malcolm Carlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Hortêncio Duarte made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Carlsson got free with Hortêncio Duarte in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Cacá Braga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hortêncio Duarte, 1-6. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Although Pindorama had been in control for most of the match, RED-STAR still came away with the win.
