In the 16th minute Caco Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 19th minute. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Paraense got free with Tomé Oliveira in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeu Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Botelho in the 26th minute of the match. Tomé Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Paraense in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Paraense in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Oliveira saved Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Campidelis in the 35th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Romeu Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Campidelis in the 37th minute of play. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ismael Paraenses short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Tomé Oliveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magno Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Manuel Loyola hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Romeu Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Mota in the 54th minute of the match. When Ismael Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Barra EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Paraense couldn't finish the play. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Magno Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caco Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Romeu Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Campidelis in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Natanael Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Magno Nunes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88thth minute of the game Ismael Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ismael Paraense scored 1-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomé Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
