Macho Oprișor ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Botafogo AP defense, Neymar Hulk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Pedro Bertassi. The Botafogo AP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Pedro Bertassi should have stopped the shot. In the 13thth minute of the game Váldson Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botafogo AP's José Pedro Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Váldson Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute Váldson Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Botafogo AP's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Lopez came free, but José Pedro Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Pedro Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Váldson Lopez's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Macho Oprișor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute of the match, Váldson Lopez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Pedro Bertassi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. SinháCity FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Botafogo AP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romulo Campello took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Neymar Hulk fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SinháCity FC's protests and gave Neymar Hulk a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Lopez in the 59th minute of play forced Botafogo AP's goalkeeper José Pedro Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Botafogo AP's goal looked a bit too open when Xavi Xavier came free, but José Pedro Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botafogo AP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Botafogo AP's José Pedro Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Lopez in the 66th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Xavi Xavier in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Botafogo AP's Gugu Simões. Eric Dahlbom kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. José Pedro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Lopez in the 73rd minute of the match.
