Barra EC's Roger Cearense was substituted for Manuel Loyola. Gerson Mesquita's late challenge caught a Barra EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Barra EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Souto. After having played for 85 minutes, Diguinho Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Democracia Socialista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
