The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luisinho Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. Nas Horas Vagas F.C made a substitution. Elder Moreno replaced Virgílio Ferraz. After 12 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Cardoso. 14 minutes into the match, Abel Duarte notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld. Richard Breckenfeld was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute, Elói Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Elder Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Gugu Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Conrado Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Conrado Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Conrado Camargo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Souza in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Edu Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Breckenfeld made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 35th minute Abel Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Morales Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gernando Paes made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gugu Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Elder Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Elder Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 47 minutes, Hugo Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Nas Horas Vagas F.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elói Branco was the one to do the kick off. Quebra Ossos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Elder Moreno scored to the left of an out of position Richard Breckenfeld, making the score, 0-4. Edu Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Breckenfeld having to make a save. After some careless play in the Quebra Ossos FC defense, Conrado Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. The Quebra Ossos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Breckenfeld should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Quebra Ossos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Moreno came free, but Richard Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Breckenfeld having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Elder Moreno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Breckenfeld was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when Nas Horas Vagas F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Edu Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. Quebra Ossos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Moreno in the 88th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Richard Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Branco came free, but Gernando Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Edu Souza made a precise shot to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. Quebra Ossos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. In the 96th minute, Sílvio Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Nas Horas Vagas F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quebra Ossos FC.
