Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Bittencourt in the 21st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Bittencourt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcelo Galvão. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho de Salles in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magne Allbom saved THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ from getting behind. Gilberto Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Bittencourt in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Galvão saved Itajaí Football Club from getting behind. Gilberto Arce scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magne Allbom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Magne Allbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute Gilberto Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Allbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Paulo Almeida was substituted for Mazinho Meireles. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Brasil to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Yu Yang Bing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Galvão was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Nolan in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Jerry Nolan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 70 minutes into the match, Yu Yang Bing notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão. Marcelo Galvão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Ler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Brasil in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ booed when Itajaí Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Magne Allbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Rubens Abreu with Gilberto Arce as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Magne Allbom made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Carlos Eduardo da Costa sent off a good shot on target. Olle Walmarsson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. If Gilberto Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ had played much better football throughout.
