Amílton Alagoano made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Scalusni Futebol Clube's Juan Trancoso. 9 minutes into the match, Wanderson Melo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ian Arantes, 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Serginho Vianna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tiago Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Wanderson Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ian Arantes made a huge save. The supporters of Scalusni Futebol Clube booed when São Paulo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scalusni Futebol Clube's Ian Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Melo in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaya Sow in the 22nd minute of play forced Scalusni Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ian Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaya Sow, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo F.C.'s zone, Serginho Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Godoi came out of the goal and Serginho Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, São Paulo F.C.'s Yaya Sow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian Arantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when Scalusni Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, São Paulo F.C.'s Yaya Sow dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmílson Garcia in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Godoi saved São Paulo F.C. from getting behind. Ian Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaya Sow in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yaya Sow to make the kick off. Serginho Vianna came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tiago Godoi could save by the left post. Serginho Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Wanderson Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 60th minute, Wanderson Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C.'s Wanderson Melo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Edmílson Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tiago Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serginho Vianna. Ian Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaya Sow in the 69th minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Yaya Sow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scalusni Futebol Clube's Ian Arantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yaya Sow took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Arantes. Ian Arantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C.'s Yaya Sow got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Bola Gøl fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serginho Vianna got free with Tiago Godoi in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute of the match Scalusni Futebol Clube got a corner. São Paulo F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Serginho Vianna ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ted Nagel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tiago Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when Scalusni Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ando Descalzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute Yaya Sow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Dionísio Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dionísio Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. São Paulo F.C. had played much better football throughout.
