With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo da Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th match minute, São Paulo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Melo to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Eugênio de Toledo from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Tiago Godoi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nildo da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaya Sow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
