Vito Travassos came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kléber Salles could save by the left post. With a little luck, Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles got control of the ball when Ronaldo Crispín tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiago Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Laércio Loureiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Tiago Godoi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio Loureiro in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Godoi saved São Paulo F.C. from getting behind. Tiago Godoi stood somewhat misplaced when Laércio Loureiro came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Kléber Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. São Paulo F.C.'s Dirk Snabl was substituted for Vito Travassos. The referee ignored Inter de São Paulo's protests and gave Marquinhos Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. Marquinhos Botelho hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 99th minute Ronaldo Crispín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inter de São Paulo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
