Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Patrício in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to S.C.CHUÍ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Adalberto Soeiro hit a great ball. When Bernardinho Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the S.C.CHUÍ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Abreu couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armando Cerezo. Armando Cerezo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Joris Scheer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joris Scheer, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Paulo Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Cerezo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Armando Cerezo made a huge save. 吴洲坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute, Joris Scheer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Godoi in the 28th minute. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Scheer in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joris Scheer in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Varela saved Palestra do Interior from getting behind. Adalberto Soeiro got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joris Scheer. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Abreu in the 36th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Godoi to make the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C.CHUÍ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hudson Sergipano was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. Jorginho Ferreira made a great header on Palestra do Interior's corner, it was just that S.C.CHUÍ's Armando Cerezo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 54th match minute, S.C.CHUÍ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Gamarra to maneuver through the defense. Despite this Allan Varela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Cerezo having to make a save. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Percival Cruz replaced 吴洲坚. Palestra do Interior's Niclas Danielsson was substituted for Hudson Sergipano. With an all-out effort, S.C.CHUÍ's Allan Varela threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joris Scheer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Lago in the 77th minute of play forced S.C.CHUÍ's goalkeeper Armando Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niclas Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Niclas Danielsson scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 88 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Boyisana Mnisi. If Vitório Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
