In the 24th match minute, FairPlay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Nóbrega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Carlos Monteiro made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, FairPlay FC's goalkeeper Carlos Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Nóbrega. With a little luck, FairPlay FC's Carlos Monteiro got control of the ball when Olívio Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélder Nóbrega who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Monteiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute Edson da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Fonseca came free, but Willian Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Carlos Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 49thth minute, when SAS's Agostinho Carneiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Willian Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cacá Fonseca in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Carneiro in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FairPlay FC's Carlos Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Carneiro in the 66th minute of play. Agostinho Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Sandrinho Valle fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAS's protests and gave Sandrinho Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Sandrinho Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
