FairPlay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraná Clube PG the free kick. Rafa Loyola took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Velloso. Oswaldo Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 25th minute of the match Paraná Clube PG got a corner. FairPlay FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mazinho Valadares ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of FairPlay FC booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Holz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nildo Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. FairPlay FC's Carlos Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Valadares in the 28th minute of play. Carlos Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Rosa went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Roberto Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Durvalino Paranaense notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FairPlay FC's Carlos Monteiro. Carlos Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FairPlay FC booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Holz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Paraná Clube PG's Ernani Rosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. A collision led to Paraná Clube PG getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Barnaba Marud hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Roberto Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraná Clube PG's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roberto Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carlos Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Holz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Carlos Monteiro came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Paraná Clube PG's Roberto Eger. But to his dismay, Roberto Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Carlos Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Rosa in the 78th minute of play forced FairPlay FC's goalkeeper Carlos Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Eger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Carlos Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 82 played minutes Paraná Clube PG got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Valadares. Paraná Clube PG's Zé Castro was substituted for Kauan Negri. Paraná Clube PG's André Luiz Fonseca was substituted for Angelo Gaspar. The supporters of FairPlay FC booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube PG's Ernani Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gabriel Jesus struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Carlos Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Clube PG. After having played for 90 minutes, Ernani Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraná Clube PG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Cacá Fonseca was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute, Cacá Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraná Clube PG's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
