Jean-Paul Møffelmand was slow to take the kick. During this time ITAFUT 4EVER's players had a chance to rest. In the 11th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Bordat to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fabiano de Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Sand went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Michel Toscano made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luisito Bordat. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal 2003 F.C.'s zone, José Sand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fabiano de Lima came out of the goal and José Sand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, ITAFUT 4EVER's Evelio Rico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fabiano de Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nilson Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Zieba in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Sand in the 29th minute of play forced Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Onur Candar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Sand scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fabiano de Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Sand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fabiano de Lima having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Sand came free, but Luiz Fabiano de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pombal 2003 F.C. defense, José Sand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano de Lima. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano de Lima should have stopped the shot. ITAFUT 4EVER's Marquinhos Best quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Onur Candar, made in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, José Sand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal 2003 F.C.'s zone, José Sand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fabiano de Lima came out of the goal and José Sand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Sand to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as José Sand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fabiano de Lima. That made the score 0-4 in the 51 minute of play. José Sand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fabiano de Lima having to make a save. In the 56th minute José Sand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pombal 2003 F.C. defense, José Sand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano de Lima. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano de Lima should have stopped the shot. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Sand in the 62nd minute of play. In the 70th minute, Onur Candar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ITAFUT 4EVER's Jardel Baggio was substituted for José Sand. ITAFUT 4EVER's Boguslaw Tarasek was substituted for João Vítor Porto. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Onur Candar got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Luiz Fabiano de Lima made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Jardel Baggio sent off a good shot on target. ITAFUT 4EVER's Nilson Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martxel Palmer in the 78th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano de Lima came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by ITAFUT 4EVER's Jardel Baggio. But to his dismay, Jardel Baggio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Luiz Fabiano de Lima was a little too slow when Jardel Baggio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-7. Sidney Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Luiz Fabiano de Lima made a huge save. ITAFUT 4EVER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jean-Paul Møffelmand in the 92nd minute. The corner ended in Sebastião Henriques almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano de Lima did a great save. In the 93rd minute, ITAFUT 4EVER's Boguslaw Tarasek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fabiano de Lima. Luiz Fabiano de Lima yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Baggio got free with Luiz Fabiano de Lima in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over ITAFUT 4EVER could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pombal 2003 F.C. throughout the match.
