The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Santos in the 8th minute of play forced Everest Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Igor Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio Cabral got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Paulão Lara. Everest Futebol Clube's Paulão Lara quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elpidio Bidun, made in the 11th minute of the game. Márcio de Brito came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Everest Futebol Clube's Paulão Lara. But to his dismay, Paulão Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Luís Eduardo Batista scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Mineiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's Peter Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Everest Futebol Clube's Hélio Cabral got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Everest Futebol Clube defense, Peter Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Mineiro. The Everest Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Mineiro should have stopped the shot. Igor Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Santos in the 30th minute of the match. Igor Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Santos in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Șerban Bărbânță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Peter Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséias Falcão to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulão Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Hélio Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Paulão Lara's late challenge caught a Samurai Champions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulão Lara helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Everest Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Lara. Samurai Champions FC's Alfredo Di Cintio was substituted for Amílton Cordeiro. In the 57th minute, Paulão Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's Cido Recife sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cido Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Recife in the 66th minute of play forced Everest Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Igor Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Cido Recife reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Igor Mineiro. The goal made the score 1-3. 76 minutes into the match, Everest Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Igor Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cido Recife. In the 77th minute Cido Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cido Recife had several of the Everest Futebol Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Igor Mineiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. 86 minutes into the match, Cido Recife dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Igor Mineiro, 1-5. In the 92nd minute of the game Faustão Ramalho made a throw-in which Cido Recife played forward. Samurai Champions FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
