Chiquinho Martins took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Pernambucano. Ronaldinho Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sixten Vallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Pernambucano having to interfere. The supporters of Locomotiva grena booed when Haridades F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Precioso Barcaiztegui blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldinho Pernambucano having to make a save. Ronaldinho Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Precioso Barcaiztegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ronaldinho Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Locomotiva grena's zone, Luís Eduardo Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Machado came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moisés Dracena made a kick off. Inácio Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano made a huge save. In the 61st minute, Tomas Lewandowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Haridades F.C's Ronaldinho Pernambucano got control of the ball when Inácio Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 minutes, Emílio Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haridades F.C and the Locomotiva grena players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Haridades F.C got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Pontes. Ronaldinho Pernambucano was a little too slow when Tomas Lewandowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-6. Ronaldinho Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tomas Lewandowski sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldinho Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Leme in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Inácio Leme made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Haridades F.C's Ronaldinho Pernambucano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute Precioso Barcaiztegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Locomotiva grena got a freekick which was hit by Christian Faria. Ronaldinho Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Locomotiva grena's Tomas Lewandowski. But to his dismay, Tomas Lewandowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. When the match was over Locomotiva grena could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Haridades F.C throughout the match.
