An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro do Valle in the 45th minute of play forced Coice de Mula's goalkeeper Gianluigi Orange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Coice de Mula getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Norbert Kosowski hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Custódio in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Coice de Mula's Gianluigi Orange got control of the ball when Vágner Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Coice de Mula's Elano Salgado was substituted for Per-Oskar Kihlberg. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Inácio Freitas replaced Alessandro do Valle. MarquinhosEC's Rubinho Valle was substituted for Esteve Quinto. Coice de Mula's Norbert Kosowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matei Răducu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 89th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Iniesta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in MarquinhosEC's zone, Franklin Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Răducu came out of the goal and Franklin Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
