Jorginho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, 任浩默 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portuguesa's supporters crossed their fingers, but 任浩默 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorginho Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Velasco in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, 任浩默 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Figueiredo. Anjos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 任浩默 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 47th minute, 任浩默 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 任浩默 made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's Silvério Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Alexandre Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jorginho Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Silvério Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Alexandre Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute 任浩默 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 任浩默 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. But to his dismay, Holger Zachrisson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Portuguesa made a substitution. Giovani Cavalcante replaced Silvério Bittencourt. 84 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's 任浩默 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 11-0 when 任浩默 sped through Anjos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Figueiredo. Portuguesa's Miguel de Sena was substituted for Holger Zachrisson. 92 minutes into the game, 任浩默 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Alex Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anjos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
