Anjos's Hadrian Faul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Paraense in the 10th minute of play. Falcão Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Anjos booed when Inter de Melão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alexandre Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Anjos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Velasco couldn't finish the play. Claudio-Paul Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Moro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hadrian Faul had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Delfim Paraense from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 41st minute Inter de Melão were awarded a corner. Delfim Paraense went to the cornerflag to take it. Delfim Paraense made a great header on Inter de Melão's corner, it was just that Anjos's Hadrian Faul managed to reach the ball for a save. Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Araújo in the 45th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Vergílio during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Inter de Melão's Maurinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hadrian Faul came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Melão's Delfim Paraense. But to his dismay, Delfim Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Inter de Melão's Maurinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 66th minute. Alexandre Velascos short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Claudio-Paul Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anjos's Hadrian Faul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Paraense in the 69th minute of play. Alexandre Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 72 minutes on the clock, Maurinho Vergílio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 72 minutes into the game, one of Inter de Melão:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexandre Velasco shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Claudio-Paul Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Reis hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Alexandre Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio-Paul Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Inter de Melão's goalkeeper Claudio-Paul Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Moro. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
