Luisinho Zonta's late challenge caught a Jumentus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisinho Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. Jumentus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luisão Mota in the 18th minute. If Ivo de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Jumentus's Cássio Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cayetano Osoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Cayetano Osoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Jumentus's Eliézer Bueno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Cássio Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ivo de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adriano Penha was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 37 played minutes Jumentus got a freekick which was hit by Javier Fonticoba. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

ＰＡＣＨＥＣＯＥＮＳＥ's William Alves was substituted for Frederico Ortiz. With a little luck, Jumentus's Adriano Penha got control of the ball when Mazinho Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jumentus made a substitution. Wambasther Ferdinand replaced Glauco Faria. After a rather tough play, Jumentus's Eliézer Bueno got a free kick in the 81st minute.
