The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Lucas Leão fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quandus's protests and gave Lucas Leão a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Prestes in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evandro Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Quandus's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Prestes came free, but Evandro Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Evandro Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evandro Furtado came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa. But to his dismay, Cléber da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Evandro Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Prestes in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Murilo Prestes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Evandro Furtado. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Evandro Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evandro Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evandro Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Evandro Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Prestes in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber da Costa couldn't finish the play. When Albertinho Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Quandus fans jumped to their feet. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murilo Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. Ediberto de Castro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Evandro Furtado but with some difficulty. In the 58th minute, Murilo Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evandro Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Caco Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iuri Félix in the 62nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Cléber da Costa sped through Quandus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evandro Furtado. A sloppy throw-in by Ediberto de Castro in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SORRISO E. C.'s Diego Toledo. When SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quandus's goalie prevented a goal. After 95 minutes, Murilo Prestes made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Quandus's Evandro Furtado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over SORRISO E. C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quandus throughout the match.
