In a very dangerous position, a player in Universidade Celestial FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! After 45 played minutes F.Salgado F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alpay Akbudun. After the first half F.Salgado F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Universidade Celestial FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Sessa should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Gaston Sessa made a huge save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universidade Celestial FC's goalkeeper Gaston Sessa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s Teodoro Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Sessa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute Pitin Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Sessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded F.Salgado F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Universidade Celestial FC.
