The audience was convinced that Murilo Prestes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmad Reza Asadi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. SORRISO E. C.'s attentive Edmílson da Rocha managed to snatch the ball when Allan Dias made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Murilo Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murilo Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onuralp Ergüden, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Santos Campineiro's Maicon da Silva was substituted for Geronimo Raebert. Santos Campineiro made a substitution. Sidnei Baptista replaced Onuralp Ergüden. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidney Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute Sidney Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sidnei Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Santos Campineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Baptista couldn't finish the play. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Santos Campineiro booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsnü Saltuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Prestes in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmad Reza Asadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Baptista in the 87th minute of play. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caco Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Despite being the better team, Santos Campineiro failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
