Margus Niilus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caner Timurhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Santos City's Rogelio Aurken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Pirani in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the FUTEBOL ARTE defense, Caner Timurhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Margus Niilus. The FUTEBOL ARTE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Margus Niilus should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute Eleuterio Galo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Margus Niilus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Santos City's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Peixoto came free, but Rogelio Aurken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes Santos City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yan Le who took care of the corner kick. If Vítor Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Peixoto was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Vítor Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Aurken was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Margus Niilus made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Eleuterio Galo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Wander de Carvalho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Margus Niilus. That made the score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. Rogelio Aurken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Peixoto in the 82nd minute of the match. Rogelio Aurken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Caner Timurhan made a precise shot to the right of Margus Niilus. FUTEBOL ARTE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.
