An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Vilar in the 4th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Eduardo Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute of the match, Orlando Paulista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eduardo Baiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kale Kaledin came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Gala's Cristóvão Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Inter Gala defense, Okanay Elmas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Baiano. The Inter Gala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Baiano should have stopped the shot. Jaime Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ailton Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Eduardo Baiano made a huge save. Kale Kaledin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kale Kaledin came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Gala's Edgar Souto. But to his dismay, Edgar Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Eduardo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Vilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ailton Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Eduardo Baiano made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Okanay Elmas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Baiano, 2-2. Richard Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kale Kaledin having to interfere. Okanay Elmas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Eduardo Baiano made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Okanay Elmas in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Inter Gala made a substitution. Heinz Stalder replaced Jaime Rodrigues. Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ailton Lira in the 53rd minute of play. The corner led Inter Gala's Gustavo Salles to fire away a dangerous shot which Kale Kaledin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube do Porto's goalkeeper Kale Kaledin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heinz Stalder. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okanay Elmas in the 81st minute of play. Xavier Vilar might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xavier Vilar ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Esporte Clube do Porto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okanay Elmas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okanay Elmas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Esporte Clube do Porto's Alessio Muciaccia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eduardo Baiano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Esporte Clube do Porto players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
