In the 12th minute, Ernani Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Leif Harlén. Charles de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Senna in the 43rd minute of play. Charles de Brito made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Thiago Senna sent off a good shot on target. Naldo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

CA Portugália's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
