The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Ronaldão Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bola Quadrada FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Firmin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute Umberto Smailagic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.F. Pindamonhangaba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tibo Huijsmans was slow to take the kick. During this time Bola Quadrada FC's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Róbson Mangueira drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind A.F. Pindamonhangaba's goalkeeper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Bittencourt in the 12th minute of play forced A.F. Pindamonhangaba's goalkeeper Gernando Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan Bittencourt went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bola Quadrada FC's Cipriano Firmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Cunha in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Osasun in the 18th minute of play forced Bola Quadrada FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Firmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo Cunha took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Firmin. Cipriano Firmin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Ulisses Matorin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Toninho Ribeiro, made in the 28th minute of the game. Róbson Mangueira succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorenzo Osasun in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Firmin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tibo Huijsmans made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Ulisses Matorin. Gernando Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bola Quadrada FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Reinaldo Trancoso hit a great ball. Cipriano Firmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Lorenzo Osasun came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cipriano Firmin could save by the left post. In the 47th match minute, A.F. Pindamonhangaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Lorenzo Osasun made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, A.F. Pindamonhangaba's goalkeeper Gernando Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauan Bittencourt. The supporters of Bola Quadrada FC booed when A.F. Pindamonhangaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Gernando Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save A.F. Pindamonhangaba from getting a goal against them. After 61 minutes of play, A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Lorenzo Osasun made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Firmin was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Ciriaco Lekubegi in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bola Quadrada FC's Umberto Smailagic. Cipriano Firmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Osasun, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Manfredo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Cipriano Firmin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Osasun in the 75th minute of the match. Cipriano Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Osasun in the 77th minute of play. If Luís Gustavo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Roberto Nóbrega kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gernando Guerra. That made the score 2-4 in the 83 minute of play. Zé Roberto Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.F. After 93 minutes Bola Quadrada FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciriaco Lekubegi who took care of the corner kick. Ciriaco Lekubegi made a great header on A.F. Pindamonhangaba's corner, it was just that Bola Quadrada FC's Cipriano Firmin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 96thth minute of the game Zé Roberto Nóbrega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Gernando Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Bola Quadrada FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A.F. Pindamonhangaba throughout the match.
