After taking down the ball on Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's corner Oswaldo Maranhense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leandro Maciel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, 余永川 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leandro Maciel. The goal made the score 3-0. 余永川 scored 4-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 余永川 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Maciel having to make a save. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Benjamim's goalkeeper Leandro Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 余永川. Leandro Maciel was a little too slow when 余永川 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. 余永川 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Leandro Maciel made a huge save. Leandro Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Cwojdak, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Leandro Maciel stood somewhat misplaced when Gwidon Cwojdak came free in front of goal and shot 6-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Cwojdak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Maciel was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 75 played minutes Benjamim got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Vidal. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Benjamim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Benjamim's zone, Luiz Guilherme Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Maciel came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 minutes, David Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benjamim and the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Benjamim got a freekick which was hit by David Britto.
