In the 15th match minute, Beto Martini MZ 20 years was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Mete Nared's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernard Fedosz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mete Nared might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Fedosz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mete Nared ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Vladimir Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Nova FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimir Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Fedosz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Beto Martini MZ 20 years defense, Mete Nared kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Fedosz. The Beto Martini MZ 20 years fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Fedosz should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mete Nared got free with Bernard Fedosz in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vila Nova FC's Luca Postelnicescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernard Fedosz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mateusz Przebendowski tried in the 36th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Bernard Fedosz a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel da Cunha in the 39th minute of play forced Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Mete Nared put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernard Fedosz. Vladimir Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Fedosz having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Ciro Innocenzio got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Vila Nova FC's Mete Nared got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Fedosz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Nared, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Postelnicescu came free, but Bernard Fedosz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernard Fedosz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Postelnicescu in the 64th minute of play. After 68th play minutes Luca Postelnicescu shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Bernard Fedosz and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Vila Nova FC booed when Beto Martini MZ 20 years was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball.
