Carlos Augusto Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Long John put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal. In the 11th minute of the match Simão Catarinense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Pombal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Long John sped through POA Gladiators's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal. Wiliam Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Pombal having to interfere. The The Power Guido FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when The Power Guido FC's Long John looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Long John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Pombal having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Long John's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. POA Gladiators's Carlos Augusto Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Long John in the 32nd minute of play. Long John might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Augusto Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Long John ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Long John sped through POA Gladiators's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal. Long John took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Augusto Pombal. Carlos Augusto Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alonzo Carrillos managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Power Guido FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Carrillos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Augusto Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fermín Mala made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Lenílson Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Power Guido FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. After 56 minutes of play, The Power Guido FC's Long John made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Augusto Pombal was left in no man's land by his defense there! POA Gladiators's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Lenílson Toledo scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Augusto Pombal, making the score, 0-11. The Power Guido FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alonzo Carrillos in the 63rd minute. After taking down the ball on The Power Guido FC's corner Alonzo Carrillos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Augusto Pombal quite easily take care of the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind POA Gladiators's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Long John in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alonzo Carrillos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Long John received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Augusto Pombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Long John slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 75th minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-14 when Long John sped through POA Gladiators's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal. After some careless play in the POA Gladiators defense, Rafael Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Pombal. The POA Gladiators fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Pombal should have stopped the shot. Simão Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Giovanni Carioca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POA Gladiators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Power Guido FC the free kick. A collision led to POA Gladiators getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Giovanni Carioca hit a great ball. Wiliam Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Carlos Augusto Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aílton Rezende received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Augusto Pombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Aílton Rezende slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded The Power Guido FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than POA Gladiators.
