Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bubu Denat, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Alejandro Verdu. Alejandro Verdu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th match minute, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bubu Denat to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Verdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Feng Ting Chong made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Verdu. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alejandro Verdu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bubu Denat in the 30th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's attentive Francesc Pla managed to snatch the ball when Gu Zhan Cheng made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Robin van Persie managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin van Persie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Verdu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bubu Denat to make the kick off. Alejandro Verdu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Ting Chong in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATHLETICO PRaiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gonzalo Boye was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalie and right to Ludovít Reis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59thth minute of the game Bubu Denat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Antoni Villarroel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Bubu Denat notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Heitor Maldini was substituted for Betão Marquez.
